Roaming Parkers 2018-2019 Food Writing

The Roaming Parkers are all about Travel, Adventure, Conservation, and Food! We love cooking and eating local classics as well as the strange, foreign, and exotic!

During our second year as The Roaming Parkers, we were looking for a way to fuel our adventures and to get and stay healthy. We’d been gluten free (as per William Davis’ Wheat Belly) and flexitarian (as per Michael Pollan’s Omnivore’s Dilemma) for a long time, but those didn’t seem to completely do it for us – so we kept looking.

Finally we listened to some friends and tried a ketogenic lifestyle – and everything started falling into place for us!
