7 Leave No Trace principles

Leave No Trace is a conservation program that was started by a collaboration between The U.S. Department of Agriculture, The National Parks Service, the National Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management.

The Boy Scouts of America rapidly picked up the program and made it part of their core outdoor ethics education and the program coalition was later joined by the Army Corps of Engineers and others.

Leave No Trace is a set of 7 guidelines or principles (not rules or laws) that help govern and inspire responsible use and stewardship of natural resources.
