Any of y’all get tired of going on vacation somewhere and being stuck in queues or mobs of tourists? Any of y’all tired of vacations where you get discriminated against (or worse) by locals who have grown to hate the thronging mass of tourists?
If any of these sounds like you, you might enjoy a getaway to any of Lonely Planet’s Top-10 destinations with the lowest tourist density in the world.
Tanzania is top of the list not only because of the low tourist density, but because of the top-notch destinations, including Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, and Zanzibar. After our Kilimanjaro trek earlier this year, we can certainly vouch for it, and we heartily recommend our tour operators, Chief’s Tours. Call them up and they’ll make sure your Tanzania vacation is 100% awesome!
I’m sure the rest of the places that made the list are awesome – but we haven’t been to any of those countries (yet) so we can’t vouch for them!
- Papua New Guinea
- Sri Lanka
I know, I know! Some of these might have good reasons that nobody ever vacations there.
I might have some difficulty convincing myself to take a vacation to Colombia or Iran – but pretty much all the others would be fabulous!
Then there’s Tanzania! I’m telling you – Tanzania is your destination!
